Disjointed memory

Each step falls discordant.
A misshapen melody.
Moving on in distant cacophony.

Shouting match.
Thrown away.
Still heart so cold decays.

Tear streaked eyes flutter down.
She walked that way.
A hatchet buried deep.

Hang my head.
Down in shame.
Caused this; caused the pain.

No rhyme or reason.
Disjointed words scroll sidelong.
Making little misery.

"Why don't you come?"
"Why won't you leave?"
It's just a indirect reprieve.

Eye the wall so don't cry.
Pain peels before the rye.
A bread so sick with sadness.

Clutch my heart.
Hearing wretched, one below.
Lost in a maze of self.

Creeping outward but looking in.
Window panes of shattered glass.
Grime and fecal covered mat.

I am stiched apart but one.
Sewn up tight but full to burst.
Fine on out but still the worst.
